Garden Plan

Even though this weather is horrendous, I'm excited to go out and garden this weekend. This is the plan for the two big garden beds (the two little beds are already planted with snap peas, lettuce, radishes, strawberries, and zucchini). I'm hoping we'll have a few minutes where the rain lets up so I can run out and plant tomatoes, eggplants, and hot peppers. I bought a few at the farmers market on Wednesday and am planning to get a few more today. I'm searching for Black Cherry Tomatoes - I think they're my favorite. So sweet and tart and delicious. This will also be our last weekend out in Long Island pre-baby so I need to get as much done as possible!
Not much more room in there!!

Garden Plan

Yay warm weather and springtime! We're going out to Long Island this weekend and I'll finally be able to check on the snap peas, peas, lettuces, swiss chard, and radishes we planted a few weeks ago. Hope they're alive!

Every year, I make a garden plan - some years better documented than others. The garden is a little bigger as we plan to build a fence (more on that to come) so it opens up room to plant some news things, like strawberries, beans, and radishes, and give everything some space. Up there are all the major plants, but the blank spaces will be filled in with some herbs (basil, tarragon, parsley, etc) and some flowers (marigolds, nasturtiums, and zinnias). I can't wait!

Veggie Plan

Here's my veggie garden layout! Just thought it would be good to post a little map. I think it's missing the cilantro, but it's the general gist!
