Garden - Week 6, April 20

The garden is coming along! The snap peas, peas, radishes, and lettuces were all sprouting. The chard was coming up a little bit, but not as quick as the others. It's so satisfying to see!

I rejiggered the garden plan a little. I brought out some habenero plants, cherry bomb pepper plants, sweet 100 tomato plants, better boy tomato plants, and strawberry plants - all to be transplanted. The tomatoes and peppers need to be in wall-o-waters until it gets warm enough for them to be in open air, but the strawberries are fine - hopefully it doesn't keep getting so cold. I also planted a mixed variety of beans - wax, green, and purple - and some cucumbers and zucchini seeds. Also a few nasturtium seeds, so we'll see if that works.
Look at it all growing!
Pre-mulch.
Petunia wanted to yank everything out.
The hose hadn't been turned on yet and we couldn't get it to work, so all of the watering had to be done by hand, and sweet, sweet Jamie filled up each wall-o-water in the kitchen sink and carried them out one by one. Thank you!!!
There are the strawberries. Hope birds don't eat them!
